The Dedication of Nathaniel Leigh Hallock

This Mother's Day we were blessed enough to have both of our mothers and one very special auntie with us to celebrate the day and the dedication of Nate.

By publicly dedicating Nathaniel to God we are doing the following:
1) We are publicly acknowledging that Nathaniel is a gift from God and for this we give great thanks. (We chose the name Nathaniel because it means one God has given.)
2) We are publicly testifying that Nathaniel belongs to God and not to us. God has given him to us to care for and to raise in accordance with His Holy Word. We consider this both a tremendous privilege and responsibility.
3) We are publicly confessing that it is our sincere desire and intention to obey God in raising Nathaniel in accordance with God's Holy Word, the Bible, that he may at an early age come to know, love and serve God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit with all his heart, mind and soul.
4)We are humbly acknowledging that we are unable in our own strength and wisdom to obey God in raising Nathaniel, and require God's grace and strength.
5) We are humbly requesting the support of all those present in our endeavor to obey God in raising of Nathaniel through daily prayer and godly living, example and counsel. At the same time, we commit ourselves to living before our child a Spirit-filled, sacrificial and obedient life in service and love of the living God-even our Lord Jesus Christ.
