When we first went to the barn, he was so excited to see a rooster
that he tried to reach in and "pat the doddle-doo"
only to be surprise that Mr. Rooster was going to peck his fingers.
He stood there looking shocked
and told me that the rooster needed "timed out."
Aunt Terry will recognize these shoes! Zak belatedly realized
that he didn't have shoes to go to the pool and not wanting to be caught
barefoot by a fellow dentist, I convinced him to wear my sandals down to the pool.
I had to take lots of pictures to capture this on film. Doesn't he look cute in sparkles!
We had a wonderful time at the conference. We took Logan to the vendor fair where he lasted
several hours before he broke free and started to run (much to the amusement of other attendees). It was so nice to have some time together and to have the opportunity to see Zak's future. After going to the zoo with the Isley's, Logan went on to Marion and had his very first night away from Mommy & Daddy. We were so grateful to have the opportunity to go to some of the dinners and parties planned for Friday night and were able to make lots of great contacts. Zak was invited to the Medina Dental Society Meeting by one of the dentists that we are considering partnering with. It just amazed us how God put people in our path and gave us the opportunity to learn and network. I also got to sit in an Implant course with Zak on Saturday and really get a better understanding of what excites Zak about dentistry. Then we headed to Marion to get the boy, made a quick stop at the Lodi outlets to stretch our legs, and home finally Saturday night. We look forward to attending with Zak in future years (and hopefully some of those trips will include a hotel spa)!

Nice blog, Meg!!
It is amazing to be a couple continents away and be able to still catch up on family. I know the Lord will continue to guide you, to put people, events, all kind of signposts along the way.
Nice sandals Zak!!
