Alex's Baseball Game

My nephew Alex is playing baseball for the first time this year and we were able to get to a game when we went home for our summer visit. He is doing great and I'm sure that we'll see him play in many more games in the future. It was just fun to be in the bleachers and cheer him on. It felt like a flashback for me and all the years I played alongside the stands and cheered for Cameron. Although, I have to admit Alex is much faster. Cam's theory was to hit the ball hard and long so he could run slow. Alex gets a good hit and he's off like a flash!Alex wondering how often we are going to
distract him from the game so we can take pictures...sorry buddy!

Our future ball player...Logan loved going to the game and a week later
is still telling me all about playing with Maddy and seeing Alex play ball.

Logan was thrilled because after the game, Alex took him onto the field and let him run the bases and hold his glove. Logan ran as fast as he could with his little crazy arm toddler run and was so excited.

It was such a nice evening and we were so glad to be able to join in the fun with my brother's family. Logan loves his cousins so much and of course looks up to Alex. It makes me so happy that he has such a wonderful little boy to follow around. My nephew has become a patient, caring, and fun kid. It makes my heart melt when we tell Logan he has to hold someones hand and he passes us all up (including Grandma!) to hold hands with Alex.
