We have been so busy unpacking and settling in that we decided to take a Saturday off and go to the Parade in the Circle. It's put on by the Cleveland Cultural Center and people from the community design and walk in the parade. It's always very creative with lots of dancing, music, and costumes. Then afterwards you can go into Wade Oval and do different crafts and activities, hear live music, and get yummy food from the community sponsors. We stumbled upon the parade last year and had such a great time that we decided to make it a tradition as long as we live near Cleveland.
These two pictures should be at the end of the post but I was experiencing some posting difficulties and didn't feel like starting over. Logan had such a great time that he skipped his nap and didn't fall asleep until almost 4 in the afternoon. He had one last cupcake from the Case Alumni house and then slept all the way to the home.

Logan decided to take up residence in his stroller to be under the shade.

Logan dancing along with the parade.

Stopping for a picnic lunch while we waited for the parade to start.

The cosutmes are so amazing and fun.
I'd love to do some of the smaller ones for Logan's Halloween costumes. I think Zak should talk his office into do a display in the parade. Who wouldn't love dancing teeth!
These kids danced the entire parade route. They were one of many groups that we saw. There were several belly dancing groups, African tribal dances, and interpative dancing shows. The theme was the Muse of the Woods and we saw everything from pirates to Picaso. For anyone who is close enough or wants to come on June 14th next year.
We recommend this parade as one of the best of the year.
