Pumpkin Picking

This past Sunday afternoon we took Logan to a Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin
Farm with our friends Lindsey, Tori, and Vivian.
It turned out to be one of the hottest days of
fall with temperatures in the upper 80s with high humidity.
We all looked like we had run a marathon by the time
we made it to the pumpkin field from our hay ride.

Logan and I of course picked some large pumpkins for

Zak to carry. Logan walked behind and

kept saying, "too heavy daddy, too heavy."

While we waited for the hayride to come back and pick us up,

Zak and Logan decided to raid the orchard and pick an apple

to snack on. We had planned to pick a few bushels but were

so hot that we decided to just head back to shade and air conditioning.

Once we arrived at the pavilion, we all sat down and had cold
sodas along with chugging a few waters each.

Logan was a tropper and even walked the small pumpkin patch to get his

own that he could carry. Although it wasn't the crisp fall outing that we

hoped for, we had a great time and really appreciated our central air when

we got home that afternoon.
